Frizz is usually a moisture problem wearing a disguise. Hair that has lost moisture lifts its cuticle to draw water from the air, and that is what you see as frizz.
What actually causes it
Humidity, heat styling, colouring and hard water all strip moisture from the fibre. Once the cuticle is raised, hair takes on water unevenly and swells — which is why frizz is worse in Gujarat's humid months and after a blow-dry. The fix is not to seal hair under silicone but to restore moisture inside the fibre and smooth the surface so it stops reaching for water.

- Best masque: Kérastase Discipline Maskeratine. A weekly treatment that replenishes the fibre and cuts blow-drying time noticeably.
- Best leave-in for frizz: Kérastase Discipline Anti-Frizz Spray Fluidissime — up to 72 hours of frizz control with heat protection to 230°C. For long hair wanting shine as well as smoothness, Kérastase Gloss Absolu Anti-Frizz Glaze Milk does both in one step.
