Grey Hair

Grey hair behaves differently. It is coarser, drier and more porous than pigmented hair, and it yellows over time — each of which needs a different answer.

What changes when hair greys

Losing pigment also changes the fibre's structure. Grey and white hair tends to be wirier, drier and rougher to the touch, and its lack of pigment makes it show discolouration readily — yellowing from pollution, hard water, styling product and sun. The aim is to restore moisture and neutralise the yellow, not to disguise the grey.

A note on prevention
